Files are encrypted on your device before being uploaded. Only you hold the encryption keys. Nextcloud's E2EE uses AES-256 encryption — the same standard used by governments and banks. Even Cezer cannot read your files.
Beyond E2EE, all data at rest on our servers is encrypted using AES-256-CTR with per-file unique keys. The master key is stored in a hardware security module (HSM) isolated from the storage systems, making physical drive theft useless.
All data in transit between your device and our servers is protected by TLS 1.3 with perfect forward secrecy (PFS). No man-in-the-middle attack can intercept your data during upload, download, or synchronization.
With E2EE enabled, Cezer operates on a zero-knowledge model. We store your encrypted data but have absolutely no ability to decrypt it. Neither Cezer, nor any government, entity, or third party can access your files — ever.
Your account is secured with TOTP two-factor authentication, WebAuthn/FIDO2 hardware keys, and intelligent brute-force protection that automatically locks accounts after suspicious login attempts.
Nextcloud performs cryptographic hash verification (SHA-256) on every file to detect unauthorized modifications or corruption. Any tampering is immediately detected and flagged, ensuring your data remains authentic.
